Falling behind

I thought I would be able to keep up my blogging, but it turns out that I am falling behind. I haven't even left a Wordless Wednesday in weeks (and that's the easy one). I wanted to leave a TGIF but that didn't happen either. I need to focus.

It's been a hectic couple of weeks since we've been back from vacation. I am smack in the middle of my PartyLite shows this month. I have to do 6 to get my business started and I just have one more to do. After that I can do as many or as little as I can. 6 a month is good for continuing the business, but I'm hoping for 2-3. We'll see how it goes. I don't want to pressure people into having shows for me, but it is a great way to get free and discounted stuff.

Also, the kids are getting over colds. I think they picked something up on the plane ride (typical) so they have been sporting the "runny nose". Other than that, we are just plugging away. I want to make the next blog entry a lot more interesting and fun than this one....let's hope.

Stroll of Epilepsy

My friend Julie's 10 year old son, Lance, is amazing. He has formed a fundraising team to stroll for epilepsy to help his best friend, Oliver. Lance is forming a team to raise money for this cause. If you can help in any way, it is always greatly appreciated. Please visit Lance's link for more information. Remember, every little bit helps.

Thank you so much and Good Luck to you, Lance and Oliver.

Back from vacation

I haven't blogged for awhile because we spent the last 12 days in warm, sunny Phoenix visiting my parents. And of course, they do not have internet access. They do not even have a computer. But that's okay. Our trip was wonderful. The weather was great (no snow) even though it started out cool and wet, but it warmed up quickly. We enjoyed weather in the 70's for most of the week. My folks were great too. My mom cooked fabulous meals, did our laundry and cleaned our rooms. It was like being in a 5 star hotel. And both mom and dad babysat for us. Daryl and I were able to enjoy date night which included dinner and a movie, pool time, and lunch dates. It was really nice to get away from the kids for awhile. My parents haven't seen the grandkids since October so I think they really enjoyed spending time with them as well.

Time flew quickly as it always does when you are on vacation. But we did accomplish a lot. We went to White Tank Mountain and Superstition Mountain (both outside of Phoenix) for some day hikes. Daryl and my mom were able to play golf twice, which they both really enjoyed. And Daryl was able to get a couple of mountain bike rides in during the week as well. Henry enjoyed the zoo, despite the cool weather (we should have waited and gone later in the week...oh well), he took a train ride, and he swam quite a bit too. It was a really relaxing and recreational vacation for all of us. I wasn't ready to come back to the daily grind, that is for sure. Thanks mom and dad for a great vacation. You guys are awesome!
